BERMUDA RUN

OPERATION LOCATION:

BERMUDA RUN, NC

At Dirt Ops, we’re currently down in Bermuda Run, NC working on a new storage facility site, and it’s a full-scale operation. We started by handling all the demolition and clearing—tearing out the old structures and vegetation to make room for the new development. From there, we moved straight into grading and hauling, getting the land shaped and ready for construction. We’re taking care of everything from site preparation to final haul-off, making sure the job gets done right the first time. Based out of Statesville, NC, we take pride in bringing that same level of precision and grit to every job we do—no shortcuts, no excuses.

OPERATION UPDATE 1

At Dirt Ops, we’re currently handling the demolition and clearing phase on a new construction site, and like always, we’re tackling it with precision and efficiency. Every site comes with its own challenges, and this one is no different—but that’s where we thrive. Whether it’s tearing down existing structures, removing debris, or preparing land for grading, our team brings the right equipment and experience to get the job done cleanly and safely. From the first machine on the ground to the last load hauled away, we make sure everything moves like clockwork.

What sets Dirt Ops apart is our ability to operate in sensitive environments where precision matters most. This particular site runs near a major interstate, and that means there’s zero room for error. We’ve built a reputation for being the go-to crew when the work demands extra care—tight access points, heavy traffic areas, or strict environmental controls. Our crew knows how to work efficiently while keeping safety and surrounding infrastructure top of mind.

Based in Statesville, NC, we take pride in being problem solvers in the site works and grading world. Whether it’s a wide-open lot or a high-stakes, high-traffic job site, we know how to handle it. Dirt Ops isn’t just about moving dirt—we’re about moving projects forward, no matter the challenge.

OPERATION UPDATE 2

At Dirt Ops, we’ve just wrapped up the clearing phase for the new self-storage facility in Bermuda Run, NC, and our attention has now turned to precision land grading and hill cutting. With the lot stripped of trees and underbrush, our team is sculpting the hillside to create a perfectly level pad for the building’s foundation. Every grade line is calculated to meet design elevations, ensuring that the base will be both stable and true. Our heavy-duty blades and GPS-guided machines work in concert to remove the high spots and fill the low areas, leaving a clean, uniform surface that’s ready for concrete pours.

Concurrently, we’re integrating our stormwater management plan directly into the grading work. As we cut into the hill, we’re shaping swales and channel bottoms to direct runoff toward strategically placed retention areas. This dual approach—earthmoving combined with dedicated drainage paths—prevents erosion, controls peak flow, and safeguards adjacent properties from sediment migration. We’re also installing erosion-control measures, such as temporary diversion ditches and stabilized construction entrances, to protect the site during these critical early stages.

In tandem with grading and stormwater control, Dirt Ops is running the underground conduit for all public utilities. We’re trenching to the exact depths required for water, sewer, electrical, and communication lines, bedding each pipe in compacted sand and backfilling to spec. Our crews coordinate closely with utility providers to sequence connections without interrupting our grading progress. By handling these crucial subsurface installations now, we ensure that when vertical construction begins, the building will tie seamlessly into every system—eliminating costly relocations or delays down the road.
